I am excited in this new year to receive news that our UU Congregation in Long Beach CA completed their first campaign to get sponsors for the school in Ksehrynshang!
I also heard from Dee that the she has received enough donations to cover the cost of building the Orphanage. This is exciting news! Keep looking under "Other Opportunities" for updates about this exciting new project.
We are also anticipating the arrival of Khlur Mukhim of the Khasi Hills in the coming week. He will arrive in DC, and spend some time there before traveling several places in the States to help build stronger relationships with UU Churches. I'll post his interary soon.
While Khlur is traveling here, Mark and Nancy Kinney are traveling to the Khasi Hills to lead a teacher training for the Education Committee. Our thoughts and prayers are with them, that it will be a very fruitful gathering for all our teachers!
